SharePoint Apps Software Maintenance

The customer has deployed three (3) production environments for SharePoint applications development (Intranet, Extranet, and Public Web Site). It is an application development platform which standardizes the provision of business solutions, and integrates with the customers core application. This customer now requires an external company to provide software maintenance services for tasks related to this technology in order to reinforce the capacity of internal resources.

The current applications deployed in SharePoint include functionalities for the support of the customer administration and management related activities. The Information Services Unit of the Customer provides production support and maintenance for this system. These are the areas to be covered by the external company:

• Public Web Site technical maintenance (e.g. WebParts)
• Management Control Systems Work Planner (EPM Live)
• Tableau de Bord
• Registry Weekly Report
• Budget Preparation Sites

Scope of work|
The customer would like to acquire consulting services for the software maintenance of the production environments. The customer becomes the owner of intellectual property derived from source code programmed and delivered by the contractor to the customer as part of software maintenance tasks for the SharePoint based portal applications.

Scope of Work – MS SharePoint Apps Software Maintenance

• System development standards and technical documentation:
  Customer will provide appropriate guidelines containing a unified set of standards to be used. The document addresses the core constructs and structures, as applied during the development phase of the current releases
• Software maintenance approach
• Software development platform
  The expected consulting services will be provided for the software maintenance of the SharePoint 2010 Server platform. The customer will provide a development environment for this platform at the Customer premises. Should the vendor suggest off-site development, it becomes his entire responsibility to setup such development environments. Delays due to difficulties setting up these environments should not affect the pricing, or be charged as part of the consulting services.
• SCRUM Methodology
  The customer would like the assigned resources to work together with the Customer team staff as part of a SCRUM team. Customer will maintain the product backlog and agree with the vendor a monthly sprint backlog to be implemented by the software maintenance team.

Deliverables

• The Customer expects the service provider to deliver a monthly software release based on each work order item agreed for the monthly sprint.

Critical success factors & Quality Assurance

• The ICT Section of the Customer, in close collaboration with the users, will assess the quality of the products and services supplied. Understanding of software development in-house technical capabilities and the ability to complement is also considered a critical success factor for the success of this agreement.

Required Skills
The SharePoint software developer must have:

• At least 4 years direct experience in developing transactional web based systems based on Microsoft .NET technologies
• 3 years’ experience with software development using Microsoft SharePoint
• 2 years’ experience developing online forms with Microsoft Infopath
• 2 years’ experience developing business workflows with Nintex Workflows

Desired Skills

• Knowledge and experience of the capabilities of various technical environments including: Wxperience implementing component based software following an agile development methodology (SCRUM, Kanban)
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 for development of SharePoint WebParts
• Hands on experience with Sharepoint – HP/TRIM integration
• Hands on experience with Sharepoint – Biztalk
• Hands on experience with EPM Live Project Management Suite
• Project Management Certification(PRINCE2 or PMI)

Duration
Six months (initiated in Q3/2013). The contract may be extended per year for up to 2 years more but always subject to budget availability (in 2014 and 2015).

tijdelijke SQL Server DBA’er

De opdrachtgever heeft een groot aantal SQL Servers (van SQL 2000 tot SQL 2012) verspreid over diverse locaties wereldwijd. Het beheer hiervan is op dit moment reactief en vaak ad-hoc. Tevens is het in sommige gevallen onduidelijk wat waar draait. De wens is nu om dit te professionaliseren met behulp van een ervaren SQL DBA.

De werkzaamheden bestaan voornamelijk uit het uitzoeken, herinrichten en beheren van de SQL Servers (wereldwijd) alsmede een consolidatie van de servers. Dit alles op basis van SQL best practices. Voor het einde van het jaar moet het beheer proactief en vastgelegd zijn in procedures.

Op het moment dat de zaken goed zijn ingeregeld, zal de hoeveelheid werk sterk teruglopen. Het reguliere beheer gaat dan over maar een gespecialiseerde beheerclub zodat de beschikbaarheid van DBA capaciteit gegarandeerd is.

Planning:

• Reageren uiterlijk 1 mei voor 9.00 uur.
• Kennismakingsgesprek: week 1 – 8 mei (in overleg)
• Start werkzaamheden: 13 mei (in overleg). Minimaal drie dagen per week
• De locatie van de werkzaamheden is Rotterdam West. Reizen naar buitenlandse vestigingen is waarschijnlijk niet nodig
• Werktijden: reguliere kantoortijden (kantoor gaat wel vroeg open ‘s ochtends )

Kennis en ervaring

• Gecertificeerd MS SQL DBA
• Aantoonbare ervaring met vergelijkbare werkzaamheden
• Referenties zullen geverifieerd worden

Gewenste eigenschappen:

• Nauwkeurig, diplomatiek, zelfstandig en volhardend. Werken op basis van een plan. Aantoonbare ervaring en het leuk vinden om te werken in een middelgrote commerciële / dynamische omgeving waarin soms zaken even tussendoor komen.
• Taal: zowel Nederlands als Engels schriftelijk goed en mondeling vloeiend
• Veiligheid: je hebt geen bezwaar tegen een veiligheidsscreening en het tekenen van een Geheimhoudverklaring
